I was born in Switzerland in 1971 and grew up in Milan, were I graduated on Botany at Univeristà Statale. I mainly had a scientific background when I started working in London and Bruxelles with different landscape architects, such as François Goffinet, Martyn Rix and Alasdair Cameron. In 2003 I opened my atelier in Milan and by combining my botanical knowledge and my accumulated project experience gained abroad, I started designing gardens and terraces in Italy, Europe, Middle East and South America.
My passion for landscapes is also expressed through civic engagement: since 2011 I am part of the Green Commission in the Municipality 1 of the City of Milan, and I was reappointed for this role in 2016's local elections. In the Commission I deal with giving public green a primary role in urban development. Since 2014 I work as designer of the green in the cinema with the Italian film director Luca Guadagnino.
My passion for gardens, that has its roots in the classic family garden of Palazzo Giusti in Verona, was enriched thanks to my botany studies and to the experience gained abroad, giving a great versatility to my own style. Elegance and discipline of the classic Italian garden meet English Romanticism, the designed landscape and nature merge. Colours, flower's and plant's shades with their seasonal aspects are primary elements in the gardens and terraces which I design. I study every project in order to satisfy customer's needs combining Botany and Aesthetic starting from an accurate analysis of each place's conditions and from a specific knowledge of plants and bio-dynamics: from planting to maintaining, I use a team of professionals which don't utilize any chemical product, totally respecting nature.
